Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, Exit 1, approx. 5-min walk
Designed by a world renowned architect, Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) is a unique architectural structure, characterized by curves that flow seamlessly in spirals to represent the dynamic qualities of the nearby Dongdaemun Fashion Town. The area surrounding DDP is a shopper’s heaven, drawing a constant stream of visitors day and night. The plaza is comprised of art halls, museums, a design shop, Oullim Square, and Dongdaemun History and Culture Park area. The Art Hall served as a filming location for the TV drama “My Love from the Star (2013).” A wide variety of exhibitions, events, and a flea market add to the extensive list of attractions in this multi-purpose design center.
Chungmuro Station, Exit 3 or 4, approx. 3-min walk
The village is a collection of five hanok buildings (traditional Korean houses), restored and relocated to the present site, against the natural scenic backdrop of Namsan Mountain. Each of the five houses reproduces how people of various social classes lived in the past. Furthermore, visitors can get a hands-on experience of Korea’s traditional culture through various programs hosted by the village, such as wearing hanbok.

Perched on the highest point of Namsan Mountain, Namsan Seoul Tower is the iconic landmark of Seoul. The second floor roof terrace offers panoramic views of downtown Seoul and has become famous for its “Locks of Love.” It has often been featured as a backdrop in popular hallyu dramas, such as “My Lovely Sam Soon (2005)” and “My Love from the Star (2013).” Visitors can enjoy an even more romantic view by going up the tower to the 360-degree observatory or the revolving restaurant N Grill.
